Oyster Restoration History

Oysters have supported coastal communities for generations as food, habitat builders, and indicators of water quality. As reefs declined from overharvest, disease, shoreline change, sediment, and nutrient pressure, coastal waters lost a natural filtration and habitat system.

Modern restoration treats oyster reefs as ecological infrastructure when they are measured, monitored, and governed with evidence. The NC VRP migration preserves legacy NC content and connects public education, operating records, certificates, sensors, and evidence to one source of truth.

Migration Path

1. Preserve legacy NC pages, products, blogs, and FAQ records.
2. Convert content into VRP-compatible Web Page and operating records.
3. Keep token, custody, and payment actions gated until Enforcer approval.
4. Use bench/UAT first on erp.verity.one, erp.miusa.one, and vrp.verity.one.
